Your Claude Code hours,
ready to bill

Estela reads the sessions Claude Code already saves on your disk, matches them with your git history, and tells you how many hours and how much AI cost went into each project and client. No timer to start, and nothing leaves your machine.

The problem

Claude Code logs every session with its time, model and tokens. Git records what shipped and when. Yet when a client asks “how many hours was that?”, most of us rebuild the week from memory.

Usage tools tell you how many tokens you spent. They don't tell you which client that work belongs to, or how many hours you can stand behind on an invoice.

How it works

Install in a minute

npx estela setup finds your repos and your Claude Code, Codex and Copilot sessions.

Map projects to clients

Once, with currency, rate and language.

See your hours

Measured from agent sessions, estimated from commits, always labeled separately.

Send the backup

A PDF or CSV report to attach to your invoice, or a read-only dashboard for your client.

What you get

Measured and estimated hours, never blended

What comes from an agent session is measured. What's inferred from commits alone is estimated. They're never added up into one unlabeled number.

Real AI cost per project

On a flat plan, a project's cost is the fee split by usage, not tokens at list price.

Your quota, per project

estela quota splits the 5-hour window and the week across your projects. It never guesses your limit: plans don't publish it.

Reports in your client's language

Bill clients abroad without translating anything by hand.

Fully local

No session, code or number leaves your machine.

FAQ

Do I need to change how I work?

No. Estela reads what Claude Code and git already store. No timer, no hooks.

Does my code leave my machine?

No. Everything is calculated locally.

Does it support Cursor?

Not yet. Cursor work shows up as estimated hours from your commits.

What if I use Codex or Copilot?

Both work. Copilot without AI cost, because it's a flat subscription with no per-request price to split.

Is it free?

The open-source version is free and complete for local use. Pro adds unlimited client dashboards, white label, Clockify and sync.

Stop rebuilding your week on Friday afternoon.
